Fact have emerged that the Federal Government may have been expressing fear over the absence of more than half of the delegates at the ongoing National Conference, The Eagle Online has authoritatively gathered.
At plenary sessions, The Eagle Online observed that more than half of the delegates are not on seat, a development which is a source of concern to the Federal Government.
Even, the Deputy Chairman of the Conference, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, confirmed the development while speaking on the issue of absent delegates.
Akinyemi said the development has become a source of concern to the Federal Government.
Most of the delegates called for debate on the report on the Conference Committee on Civil Society, Labour, Youths and Sports, but the members were not on seat to enable debate on the report go on.
Also, the fear of the Federal Government is that the absentiism may not be unconnected with the lack of interest in the agenda of the Conference.
