The crisis over derivation to oil producing states persisted on Thursday at the National Conference.
The Conference adjourned abruptly as a result of the failure of delegates to reach a common ground on the issue.
Thursday’s plenary was rowdy.
Delegates engaged in shouting matches during the plenary session.
Earlier, the leadership of the Conference had made a provision for five ballot boxes as a way of resolving the contentious issue through voting.
A meeting held by the consensus committee ended in a stalemate as the 50 wise men were unable to find a common ground after the marathon meeting.
