Dr. John Nwodo Eze, the father of the Features and Commune Editor of the Nigerian Compass Newspaper, is dead.
The late Eze was the Chief Medical Director of Eze Hope Rising Clinic at Agbure in Ogun Waterside Area of Ogun State.
He was born on February 9, 1938.
He died on February 27, 2013 after a protracted illness that lasted for 10 months.
He was aged 75.
The late Eze had been in the medical profession as an obstetrician for over 30 years.
He was until his death a Christian and a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The late Eze was a very famous professional in Ogun State and Nsukka, Enugu State, his country home.
According to his son, Jonathan Eze: “My late father was a very kind and humble person.
“He was generous to a fault.
“He will be missed greatly by not just his nuclear and extended families but the communities that make up his local government of residence in Ogun State.
“He believed in the resurrection hope as a witness and until his death ensured that he touched positively those that had encounters with him.
“He believes so much in education and not just education but quality education.
“As such, he ensured that we his children got the best of education among other values.”
The late Eze is survived by his only wife, Stella Eze, and seven children.
The children are Ngozi, Shedrach, Faith, Jonathan, Sarah, Deborah and Ruth.
He is also survived by his only brother, Augustine Chukwuma Eze.
According to his eldest son, he will be buried on April 13, 2013 at his country home, Aju-Ona Obukpa, Nsukka while funeral talks and ceremony will hold at his residence at Ngboko, Obukpa, Nsukka.
