Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly called Basketmouth has taken on a directorial role aside acting, while explaining reasons for the delay in the release of his horror film, “Exorcism of Alu’’.
Basketmouth, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Baron World Entertainment on his instagram handle @basketmouth said it was necessary for him to conclude a production preceding the release of his movie which was scheduled for release January 15.
He, however, assured that the new release date would be announced soon.
The film stars Rekiya Yusuf, Sound Sultan as well as foreign actors including Tevez Houston, Winona Crwaford, Jamie Whitehouse, among others.
The 40-year old comedian revealed that that he has been working on the movie for six years, described the project as his “most challenging project”.
The comedian wrote: “For 6yrs I’ve been working on my very first feature film, my most challenging project.
“I kept it on the low because everyone I told, doubted my ability to pull it off. Today, I present to you……The Exorcism of Alu, a horror/thriller movie.’’
In another post, Basketmouth disclosed that he has taken on a directorial role and intends to surpass the achievements of famous music video director, Clarence Peters.
Basketmouth is the executive producer of popular TV sitcom, ‘My Flatmates,’ which is currently in its third season.
