The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted cloudy and sunny weather conditions with prevalence of dry winds over most parts of the country on Sunday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Saturday predicted partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the central cities with thundery activities over Yelwa axis in the morning hours.
It added that localised thunderstorms were likely over Abuja, Kaduna, Lafia, Makurdi and Lokoja.
Others with localised thunderstorms are Bida, Ilorin and Minna axis.
They are expected to have such weather condition in the afternoon and evening with day and night temperatures of 28 to 37 and 16 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that Northern States would experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 34 to 38 and 17 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience partly cloudy to cloudy morning and afternoon and evening thunderstorms over some parts.
Their day and night temperatures will be 29 to 35 and 21 to 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
“Prevalence of dry winds in the country will reduce the spread of rainfall activities across the country,” NiMet predicted.
