Chelsea have completed the signing of winger Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.
Andre Schurrle’s move to Wolfsburg was finally completed before the closure of the German transfer window at 5pm, allowing Cuadrado to finalise his switch to Stamford Bridge.
Cuadrado is believed to have signed a four-and-a-half-year contract, with Chelsea paying an initial fee of £23.3 million that will rise to meet the Colombian’s buy-out clause of £26.8 million.
Mohamed Salah will move in the opposite direction to Cuadrado and join Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
Despite late haggling over the fee, Wolfsburg agreed to pay around £23 million, plus add-ons, for Schurrle and the German international will earn £85,000-a-week.
