Despite having a large presence of their followers at the ongoing African Nations Championship 2014 tournament, the Warriors of Zimbabwe will fight for a classification spot after they lost to Libya on penalties at the Free State Stadium, South Africa.
The gruelling semi-final encounter ended in a goaless draw after 120 minutes but the Libyans had the last laugh as they won 5-4 after a penalty shootout.
The Zimbabweans enjoyed a great support from their citizens in South Africa from the beginning of the tournament due to their proximity with the host country.
A majority of South Africans backed their fellow regional country but their tumultuous support was not enough for the relentless and impressive Libyans.
Both teams are still in contention for a third place medal on Saturday in Cape Town.
