Calabar, Cross River State, the new destination for Nigerian football, bubbles again this Saturday when the grand finale of this year’s Central Bank of Nigeria and All Financial Institutions Football Competition comes up at the U. J. Esuene Stadium.
The Nigeria Football Federation, organisers of the competition, announced on Thursday that the third place match will start at 1pm with the final to start at 3pm.
Union Bank FC, which thrashed Penniel MFB 6-1 in one of the semi-final matches at the Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State, will take on Central Bank of Nigeria FC, which defeated Badawa MFB in Ilorin, Kwara State in the second semi-final.
Saturday’s third place match pitches two micro-finance banks, Penniel MFB and Badawa MFB, against each other.
First Bank FC emerged the winners of the trophy last year at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
