CBN directs Banks to collect Naira notes deposited with it

The Central Bank of Nigeria has vowed that the country would be awash with old Naira notes before the end of the week.

This followed the instruction of the apex bank to the Deposit Money Banks to come for notes it deposited with it.

According to available information, the apex bank has said there will be more Naira notes in circulation as banks are expected to get back the old notes deposited with it.

In this wise, the banks have been instructed to collect the old Naira notes they deposited in the CBN and that before the end of the week, the country would be awash with Naira notes.
