In its continued quest for the development of Women referee in the continent, the Confederation of African Football will on June 18 to 30, 2012 organise a Women Elite Referees course in Yaounde, Cameroun.
A letter from the continental body’s headquarters in Cameroun to the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the course and the appointment of Mrs. Jumoke Adebisi Seriyu as an instructor for the course.
Also CAF has invited referee Felicia Okwugba and assistant referee Bosede Momoh to participate in the course that will help to optimise the standard of women referees.
The letter to the federation emphasised that a physical fitness test will be taken during the course and the federation has to ensure that the referees have to arrive in the best physical condition.
The course, which will be held in the Football Academy of Yaounde, will start with the Anglophone group of 32 on June 18-23, while the 42 Francophone participants will commence their course on June 25 and end on June 30.
