Two-time CAF Champions League winners, Enyimba FC of Aba, have been drawn to battle the winners of Rivers United and Bloemfontein Celtic of South Africa in the CAF Confederation Cup Additional 2nd Preliminary Round.
Enyimba, who are also referred to as the People’s Elephant, dropped to the second tier of the continental competition having failed to make it to the group stage of the Champions League.
Should Rivers United scale the South African club hurdle, they will be guests of Enyimba in the first leg of the tie on February 14 and will host the second leg on February 21 in Port Harcourt.
Meanwhile, Rivers United is close to sealing her place in the next round of the competition having secured a two nil victory over the South Africans.
The second leg was postponed by CAF due to COVID-19 protocol.
