Sunshine Stars handler, Gbenga Ogunbote, has described his side’s task against Recreativo of Angola in today’s Orange/CAF Champions League as difficult but surmountable.
Ogunbote told The Eagle Online that he was confident that his side will turn the table against the Angolan side this evening.
“I am sure we are in good shape to beat them and advance to the next stage. It was unfortunate that we lost the first leg by a wide margin but we will surely win well today,” he said.
Sunshine Stars will square against Recreativo inside the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State this afternoon.
If the words of the Angolans are anything to go by, then Sunshine Stars are in for a hectic time.
Zeca Amaral, coach of Recreativo do Libolo, said it is always good to start the round with victory.
He said: “We are in Nigeria with the thought of victory. Here we begin a new challenge and want to go further in the competition.”
Elsewhere in Yaounde, Dolphins of Port Harcourt will battle Coton Sport.
The Nigerian side won the first leg by two goals to one in Port Harcourt.
