Nigerian international, Victor Moses, was adjudged Africa’s fourth best player behind the eventual winner, Mohamed Salah.
With 215 votes, the Chelsea star placed a distant fourth to Salah who won by 625 votes.
The duo of Saido Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubsmeyang got 507 and 311 votes to finish as first and second runners up respectively.
Cameroon striker, Vincent Aboubakar, and Burkina Faso’s Bertrand Traore were placed fifth and sixth in a demographic made available by the Confederation of African Football on Friday.
The graph revealed that Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, and Captain, John Obi Mikel, voted for Moses.
All the 51 countries affiliated to the continental body participated in the exercise.
It can be recalled that Moses played a vital role in Chelsea Premier League title win last season.
He also assisted Nigeria qualify for her sixth FIFA World Cup, Russia 2018.
