A middle age man believed to be an electricity equipment vandal was on Friday electrocuted while allegedly attempting to steal power cables in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Felicia Anselm, who confirmed the incident, however, did not disclose any details, saying that investigation into the incident was still on.
The incident, which happened in Dabin Kowa, Jos South Local Government Area of the state, attracted a large crowd of people who gathered to catch a sight of the corpse as it hung unattended on the pole for hours.
As at the time of this report, no one was able to identify the suspect who died with a pair of barb wire cutters hung on the pole beside him.
