Lagos on Thursday experienced a lockdown owing to the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari.
This runs contrary to the position of the police that the roads are open.
The position of the police was contained in a statement by its spokesperson, Chike Oti, who said Lagosians should go about their normal businesses.
However, several areas on the Island and Mainland areas of the state are under lockdown as many resorted to trekking, while those who could not park their vehicles are held up in traffic.
Reacting to the position of the police on Twitter, Alaye To Se Gogo, said: “Why do these people lie about obvious things experienced by all?”
