President Muhammadu Buhari has joined all members of the All Progressives Congress in congratulating former governor of Adamawa, retired Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako, as he turns 75 on August 27.
A statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina in Abuja on Sunday, said President Buhari felicitated with all family members, friends, professional and political associates of the renowned farmer.
The president acknowledged that Nyako had served the country for many years as a former military governor of Niger State, Chief of Naval Staff and Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, with remarkable honours.
He, therefore, extolled Nyako’s successful investment in agriculture and stablishing an international business network in animal husbandry and horticulture.
President Buhari particularly cited the export of mangos by Nyako’s agricultural company, saying that this had further underscored Nigeria’s versatility and capacity in commodities.
The President prayed that the almighty God would continue “to refresh Nyako’s mind and strength as he grows older, and grant him the grace to keep serving his country’’.
