The immediate past President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, was at the Presidential Villa on Thursday to meet President Muhammadu Buhari.
Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, who confirmed Jonathan’s meeting with Buhari, however, declined to give details.
The two leaders met behind closed doors at the President’s official residence.
The Eagle Online recalls that former President Olusegun Obasanjo met with President Buhari the following day (Friday).
The meeting was also at the President’s official residence.
However, it could not be established whether Obasanjo’s meeting with the President barely 24 hours after Jonathan met him was coincidental or planned.
President Buhari has said pointedly that he would probe only the Jonathan administration.
