Breaking: Tribunal sacks Oyetola as Osun Governor, declares Adeleke validly elected

The Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting has sacked Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress as the Governor of the state.
In his place, the Tribunal, which sat in Abuja, declared the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the 2018 governorship election in the state, Ademola Adeleke, as the validly elected governor of Osun State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had in September 2018 declared Oyetola as the governor of Osun State after the main and rerun elections in the state.
The rerun election was held in seven polling units across four council areas.
The returning officer, Prof. Joseph Fuwape, declared that Oyetola won the governorship election by scoring a total number of 255,505 votes, while Adeleke of the PDP polled 255,023 votes.
