The two contenders for the seat of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senators Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi, are at the moment locked in a meeting, The Eagle Online is reporting.
The Eagle Online learnt that the meeting is holding at the Tarawa State Governors Lodge in Abuja.
Also attending the meeting, according to sources close to The Eagle Online are the governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The governors are led by the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
The Eagle Online recalls that Sheriff and Makarfi have been at loggerheads over the leadership of the party.
Owing to this, the National Secretariat of the party had been locked by the police.
Today makes it 53 days the Wadata Plaza Secretariat in Abuja had been sealed by the police.
