The Senate has just begun the screening of the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
Reports reaching The Eagle Online has it that Onnoghen stepped into the Senate Chamber at about 11:50am.
The Senate had on Tuesday announced that it would commence Onnoghen’s screening on Wednesday.
This followed a letter from the Presidency urging the Senate to confirm him as the substantive CJN.
Onnoghen had been functioning in acting capacity since last year.
