Security operatives have taken over the palace of the Emir of Kano in Kano State.
This happened on Monday shortly after the Kano State Government pronounced dethroned the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Alhaji, said Sanusi was dethroned for being rude to the the State Government and its officials.
Security operatives who took over the palace included those of the Nigeria Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
