Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have rescued Sikirat, the kidnapped wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu, killed the kidnappers, and recovered the ransom paid to them.
The Force Public Relations Officer and Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed this on Thursday.
So also did The Eagle Online learnt that the Commissioner, Ogun State Police Command, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, will be addressing newsmen on the development later on Thursday (today).
Adejobi, who said the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, had reacted to the development, disclosed on his X handle: “BREAKING: Police Neutralise AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s wife Kidnappers, Recovers Ransom.

“The IGP has commended the Police Operatives and CP Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a good job.
“We are committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and our dear country.”
The Eagle Online recalls that Sikirat was kidnapped as she made to enter her home in Arepo area of Ogun State last week Wednesday.
Odumosu was attacked by four masked men when she was about to enter home at about 9:30pm.
It was gathered that the assailants dragged her from her Lexus Jeep and took her through swampy areas to an unknown location.
