A former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has been renominated by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as minister.
Obanikoro’s name was among the seven that news television, African Independent Television, reported on Friday was sent to the Senate for confirmation by Jonathan.
Among the six others are Kenneth Kobani and Patrick Akwashiki.
Obanikoro resigned his membership of the Federal Executive Council to vie for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party as its governorship candidate for Lagos State.
He eventually lost to the party’s candidate, Jimi Agbaje.
More details soon.
