President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday announced the mass retirement of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service.
As first exclusively reported by The Eagle Online, the retirement followed the appointment of the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita.
In the civil service order, Oyo-Ita was the number 25 when she was appointed as the HOS.
Announcing the retirement to the Permanent Secretaries on Tuesday was President Buhari during a meeting with them at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The retirement is also coming ahead of the inauguration of Ministers on Wednesday as also exclusively reported by The Eagle Online.
