Many passengers on an early morning train were injured when some coaches derailed as a result of bad rail tracks.
The train derailed at about 7:15am on Thursday in Mangoro area of Agege enroute Ebute Meta.
The train was said to have departed from Iju.
According to available information, operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency had earlier reported the bad rail tracks.
It was learnt that the plan was to fix the bad portion of the track on Thursday night.
No life was however lost and the injured had been taken to nearby hospitals.
Efforts are currently on to evacuate the derailed coaches as the Nigeria Railway Corporation crane has been despatched to the scene from Lagos Island.
