The convoy of a former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has been attacked in Kofa village, Kano State, The Eagle Online is reporting.
Kwankwaso was said to be on his way to the campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for Kano State, Abba Yusuf, when the convoy was attacked.
Several persons are feared to have died in the attack in which vehicles in the convoy were set ablaze.
The popular politician has been involved in a face-off with the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress.
