The Grand Chief Imam of Ijebuland, Sheikh Abdur Rasaq Ishola Salaudeen, is dead.
The Imam, who was said to have died in the early hours of Saturday, presided over the Eid prayer on Friday.
Sheikh Salahudeen was also the Spiritual Head of Ogun State Muslim and Wakeelul-Muslimeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States.
He was said to have showed no sign of any sickness when he led the congregation during the Eid El Fitri prayers at Ijebu Ode prayer ground on Friday and the Jumaat service later.
He was also said to have led the early morning Subhi prayer on Saturday before he died.
