The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the redeployment of officers of the rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police.
The redeployment order was contained in a statement on Friday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police Frank Mba.
Mba explained that the redeployment followed the recent promotion of Commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police.
Those affected by the promotion are Dan Bature, DFA FHQ; Hyelasinda Kimo Musa, PMF; Yunana Y. Babas, Zone 8 Lokoja; Dan Mallam Mohammed, SPU; Mua’zu Zubairu Halilu, CTU; Rabiu Yusuf, ICT; Ahmed Iliyasu, Zone 2, Lagos; Mohammed Uba Kura, Maritime; Zaki M. Ahmed, Zone 6, Calabar; Zama Bala Senchi, Community Policing; Bello A. Sadiq, Zone 1, Kano; Austin Agbonlahor Iwero, DOPS FHQ; and Lawal Ado, Works.
Mba added: “The Inspector-General of Police charges the AIGs to bring their vast experiences and professionalism to bear in advancing the fortunes of the Force. The IGP further directs the Officers to ensure adequate supervision of their respective department/formation to enhance the ongoing drive at repositioning the Force for improved service delivery.
“The posting and the redeployment of the Senior Police Officers is with immediate effect.”
