Heavy gunshot was reportedly heard at the residence of embattled former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha over an attempt by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest him.
The Senator’s second son, Amen Okorocha, was wounded in the melee and was being attended to as at the time of filing this report.
The anti-graft agency operatives have since laid siege to Okorocha’s Maitama home since 11.30am, Tuesday.
The operatives barricaded the entrance gate with their vehicles while heavily armed policemen were stationed at all strategic locations inside and outside the premises.
EFCC has confirmed that its operatives have laid siege to the Senator’s residence as he had since refused to yield its invitation.
