The immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has directed members of Peoples Democratic Party and his supporters in the state not to vote for Senator Abiodun Olujinmi in the National Assembly election in 2019.
Fayose made this known in a short video, which was sighted on Thursday.
According to him in the about one minute video: “Ekiti kete ooo.
“My beloved teachers, my beloved workers and entire good people of Ekiti State.
“The Okada riders and all.
“I recommend to you Alhaji Atiku Abubakar our President in waiting and I recommend to you all candidates of PDP except Senator Abiodun Olujinmi.
“That is we must not return Senator Abiodun Olujinmi back to Senate.
“I know you will do exactly what I asked you to do.
“I love you and may the Lord bless you.
“You will do the needful.
“In the name of Jesus.”
Fayose and Olujinmi have been having a running battle over who controls Abubakar’s campaign team in Ekiti State.
Olujinmi had accused Fayose of appointing his cronies into the Campaign Council in the state in order to divert campaign fund.
She then formed her parallel Campaign Council.
Both Councils were inaugurated on the same day.
