A former Governor of Adamawa State, Bala James Ngilari, has finally been discharged and acquitted of allegations of corruption by the Court of Appeal sitting in Yola.
Ngilari was accused of mismanaging the resources of the state when he oversaw its affairs in acting capacity.
His initial discharge by the Adamawa State High Court had led to furore in the state, with some officials of the Nigerian Prisons Service suspended for releasing him after the court judgment.
