The Independent National Electoral Commission has concluded the collation of results from the Ekiti State governorship election held on Saturday.
It was predicted as a three-horse race: All Progressives Congress, Peoples Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party.
However, the result did not reflect this as the candidate of the APC, Biodun Oyebanji, won in 15 Local Government Areas out of the 16 LGAs in the state.
The only LGA Oyebanji did not win was Efon Alaye, where the candidate of the PDP, Bisi Kolawole, won.
The candidate of the SDP for the poll, Engr. Segun Oni, however, put up an impressive showing in some of the LGAs.
The results, collated at the INEC collation centre in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, showed Oyebanji won with wide margin.
As at press time, the official declaration by the INEC was being awaited.
