A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has been arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, The Sun is reporting.
Lawal, according to the newspaper, was arrested on Wednesday.
His sack by President Muhammadu Buhari was predicated on the allegation of his involvement in a grass cutting contract under the Presidential Initiative for the North East.
His company was said to have handled the contract worth over N200 million.
