Security operatives have taken over the National Assembly’s entrance.
This followed the directive of the leadership of the National Assembly to the Department of State Services and the police to secure the complex for sitting on Tuesday.
Members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, who had been on strike since Monday, were barred from entering the premises on Tuesday by operatives of the DSS and police.
Policemen were stationed at strategic places in the National Assembly to prevent members of PASAN from entering the premises.
The police at the entrance of National Assembly were also screening vehicles entering into the premises as at time of filing this report and any one identified as a worker of the National Assembly was sent back.
