Operatives of the Department of State Services have vacated the entrance of the National Assembly, which they occupied for over 10 hours.
The operatives left the entrance shortly after their Director General, Lawal Daura, was sacked by the Acting Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Senators, members of the House of Representatives and staff who wanted to enter the premises were turned back by the operatives in hood.
After a meeting with Osinbajo, Daura, who was summoned to the Presidential Villa, was ordered sacked.
He was told to handover to the most senior officer of the Service.
