Senator Danjuma Goje has been declared the winner of Gombe Central Senatorial District election with a wide margin.
Goje, who contested on the platform of All Progressives Congress, defeated the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Nasiru Nono.
Goje polled 110,116 votes to defeat Nono, who scored 39,760 votes.
The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Goje, on his Twitter handle, thanked the people of Gombe Central Senatorial District for their support and vowed to give them quality representation.
According to the returning senator: “I appreciate the people of Gombe Central Senatorial District for giving me their mandate to represent them again at Senate.
“In sha Allah I will continue to do my best and not disappoint you my good people.”
