The Court of Appeal has sacked the representative of Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye. The Court ordered for a fresh election. The decision of Court was sequel to the petition by Senator Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress, who challenged the declaration of Melaye as the winner of he Kogi West Senatorial District election by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The Kogi State Elections Petitions Tribunal had earlier sacked Senator Melaye. But he appealed the judgement.Reacting to the judgement through his verified Twitter handle, Melaye said: “I  just lost my election at the Appeal Court and Fresh election ordered. In all things I give God the Praise. He who started a good thing will definitely complete it. I ask my supporters to be law abiding as we shall always overcome. To God be the Glory.”
