The African Action Congress has suspended its National Chairman and presidential candidate for the February 23, 2018 election, Omoyele Sowore, over anti-party activities and misappropriation of fund.
However, Sowore, in his reaction, dismissed his suspension as a huge joke.
The party has immediately appointed Leonard Nzenwa as the Acting Chairman of the party and inaugurated him.
The suspension of Sahara Reporter Publisher will last for six months unless it is overturned by the National Convention of the party.
According to the party, Sowore engaged in anti-party activities, misappropriation of fund and failure to convene the National Executive Council meeting of the party.
