Three-time African champions, the Super Eagles, has been drawn against former World champions, Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in Group D of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria will play her first game against Croatia before taking on other group opponents at the mundial.
The Gernot Rohr side are yet to beat the Argentines in all their meetings at the World Cup, but posted a superlative display in their 4-2 win over the South Americans in a friendly recently.
Rohr and the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, were among dignitaries that witnessed the draw ceremony in Russia on Friday.
Nigeria will be making its sixth appearance at the World Cup in Russia.
In 1994, Nigeria defeated Croatia 3-0 in a group phase match, with late Rashidi Yekini scoring Nigeria’s first ever goal at the World Cup in the United States of America against the Croats.
However, between then and now the Croats have grown in strength, becoming a force to reckon with not only in Europe but worldwide.
