Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi, has stated that the African Champions still have a huge battle ahead of them as the second leg of Brazil 2014 against the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia beckons in Calabar, Cross River State on November 16.
Shortly after the Super Eagles picked a vital away win over their opponents in Addis Ababa on Sunday, the Bull, as he is fondly referred to by his admirers, opined that they must continue to press hard in their quest for the Brazil 2014 ticket.
He opined: “We played a good game today against the Ethiopians but that is not to say that the battle is over.
“I believe they have a solid side that is capable of upsetting any team, so we stay focused and continue to work hard to land in Brazil next year.
“I believe we showed class here as African Champions and we should be able to keep up to the standard we have set for ourselves since we won the Nations Cup in South Africa earlier in the year.”
The Super Eagles beat their Ethiopian opponents by 2-1 at the Addis Ababa Stadium, a win that drew them closer to picking one of the World Cup tickets on the continent.
