In a bid to promote wellness and good living among practitioners in the Nigerian Movie Industry, the organizers of the Best of Nollywood Awards, has announced it will team up with St. Ive’s Foundation to provide medical test to Nollywood members at no cost on August 17.
This was contained in a statement by the management of BON on Friday.
In a statement made available by Seun Oloketuyi, the CEO of BON: “Film makers are busy people who work round the clock; hence, there is the lure to neglect healthcare. The recent concurrent death cases recorded in the industry were saddening to say the least. All hands are on deck, to forestall future occurrence of these cases, especially when some of these death cases are avertable.
“St. IVY’s foundation is partnering us at BON to provide free medical checkups for practitioners. We are thankful to the foundation for the warm gesture; some of the tests that shall be carried out include Sugar level, Blood pressure and so on.
“We shall converge at eSporta Suite for the occasion. We want our actors healthy, so we can have them with us for a long time; enough of untimely death snatching our national heroes.”
