Some prominent Nigerians are due to meet in Lagos on Saturday to discuss recent developments in the polity, especially the bombings in some Northern states.
The eminent personalities are to meet under the aegis of Project Nigeria at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja on April 14 to discuss the future of Nigeria.
Among those who are scheduled to attend the meeting, according to a statement by the organiser’s Media Consultant, Oluwabori Obafemi, are former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari; the National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido; and Senator David Dafinone.
Among those scheduled to speak at the one-day event are Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Alhaji Lateef Adegbite, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Akin Oyebode, Prof. Itse Sagay, Barr, Olisa Agbakoba, Mr. Femi Falana, Mr. Fola Adeola, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Odia Ofeimun and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
Obafemi said in a statement: “The special book presentation and colloquium of all pro national conference advocates and stakeholders, which is billed to commence at 10am prompt, will also afford Project Nigeria the auspices to circulate The Save Nigeria Project handbook edited by Professor Ben Nwabueze, an eminent jurist
“Ayo Obe, a prominent lawyer, writer, and activist, will review the book, Time to Reclaim Nigeria, while Babatunde Fashola, governor of Lagos State and his counterpart from Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, will jointly host the historic gathering which will be jointly chaired Elder statesman, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite and Dr. Junaid Mohammed veteran northern politician.
