A pair of Usain Bolt’s running shoes have been stolen by thieves during a car break-in in Hertfordshire.
The trainers, signed by the fastest man on the planet, had been bought at an auction raising money for a sports charity and were in a frame of authenticity.
A photo of Bolt was also stolen from the BMW in Watling Street, St Albans on December 21.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
Hertfordshire police say the owner had paid a “significant” sum for the trainers.
The break-in happened at some stage between midnight and 10am, with the thief smashing the frame before taking all the items.
Jamaican Bolt has won three gold medals at each of the last two Olympics, winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100m in Beijing and London.
