Dreaded sect, Boko Haram, has denied killing war General and an associate of former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff of Borno State, General Mamman Shuwa.
A man who purportedly spoke on behalf of Boko Haram, Mohammed Ibn Abdulaziz, said it was not the group that shot dead Shuwa, his orderly and a guest in his Maiduguri, Borno State home.
Abdulaziz, who also announced the readiness of Boko Haram to dialogue with the Federal Government, said of the killing of Shuwa: “We have no hands in the killing of General Shuwa.”
Abdulaziz, who spoke with newsmen on the telephone in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, added: “We didn’t have problem with the man.”
