Dreaded sect, Boko Haram, has made good its threat to strike, again, on June 24 (today).
But this time it was not at a church.
Rather it was at a prison on Gashua Road, Damaturu, Yobe State.
The aim of the strike, it was learnt, was to free Boko Haram members arrested in connection with the bombardment of Damaturu, the state capital, two weeks ago.
It was learnt that the prison was bombed to achieve this objective.
Though details were sketchy as at press time, it was learnt that the Boko Haram members had little resistance to contend with when they attacked the prison, located in a small town in the state.
After the bombardment of Damaturu, a 24-hour curfew was slammed on the state capital, but has now been reduced to between 10am and 2pm.
