Boko Haram attacks Army base, 14 killed

Boko Haram terrorists in the early hours of Friday attacked the 120 Task Force Battalion of the Nigerian Army at Goniri in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The terrorists were said to have arrived at the military base on foot before 6am.
They immediately launched an attack on the Army base.
The attack lasted over four hours.
14 out of the invading terrorists were killed by the military, which repelled them.
The spokesman of the 27 Task Force Brigade in Damaturu, Yobe State, Lieutenant George Okupe, confirmed.
Okupe said no soldier was killed during the attack.
Items recovered from the Boko Haram terrorists included six AK 47 riffles, three Improvised Explosive Devices, four 36 handheld grenades, one GPMG and four magazines.
