Fans of the popular reality show, Big Brother Africa, Season 8, tagged: “The Chase,” housemate, Evelyn Eveva, have continued to pay tribute to the star.
Eveva passed away on May 11 at the age of 29.
The star was involved in an accident in 2014, which had impaired her leg, making her to undergo various medical and physiotherapy treatments.
The former Big Brother housemate had undergone many surgical operations on her leg.
However, the last one on May 7 led to complications which caused her death.
The Big Brother Africa show had made Eveva and other contestants famous shortly after it began, giving them a large fan base.
Fans and former housemates were informed of her death via her Facebook page.
Oribo George, a student of the University of Abuja, described her death as a huge loss to the entertainment industry in Africa.
George prayed God Almighty to grant her soul eternal rest and her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
She said: “I liked her as a housemate because she made the house interesting somehow.
“I just pray that her family gets comfort from God and that Evelyn rests in perfect peace.”
Anu Akinyemi, another student, said she felt bad that the star had passed away while trying to fix the damage caused by the accident that almost took her life initially.
Akinyemi said: “I think I feel really bad because after she had happily survived the accident, she had to spend money to undergo treatments to improve her health, yet, it was that same treatment that ended up killing her.”
Sharon Ooja, also a student, said she was now scared of surgery and expressed the hope that people would be careful when carrying out their daily activities.
Ooja said: “I know we are victims of circumstances at times, but I pray that people will realise that we have to be careful and aware of our environment when going about town to achieve our goals.
“Because a slight mistake could change or end our lives forever.”
