The Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna, Abdullahi Usman Biffo, has promised to restructure and correct all the shortcomings observed in his team during the finals of the state Federations Cup.
Biffo said this on Sunday evening after Tornadoes 2-0 victory over Tornadoes Feeder, which was played at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, Minna.
Biffo said some areas were yet to be perfected and promised to use the short time left for the club to put the team in shape.
He said: “It is not about how many goals you scored in a match, but how good is your club.
“I am going to use the little time left before the league and make corrections where it is needed.”
Biffo said the performance of his boys were promising and as well praised the resilience put up by the feeder team, especially in the second half.
Gabriel Wasa could have opened account for Tornadoes in the fifth minute of play but ballooned the ball over the bar with only the goalkeeper to beat.
The same went with Shehu Usman who could not find the back of the net left alone with the goal tender.
However, deep into the last minutes of the first half, the duo of Wasa and Usman made up for their mistakes and gave Tornadoes quick successive goals that were important to seal first competitive trophy for Biffo.
