The commencement of the divine mandate administration of His Excellency, Governor Hyacinth Alia has rekindled lost hope, entrusted confidence in public office and brought about renewed zeal to both the citizenry and indeed Benue Sons and daughters living outside the state.
The Governor Alia government came with a folded sleeves-ready to work, from the frequent payment of salaries, gratuities and pensions to the construction of roads and drainages- Indeed Benue has got it right this time.
The education sector has received a boost from the higher education to basic education which hitherto became a haven of industrial actions. Quality has been restored to both secondary and primary education online with global best practices regulating the sector.
The government has commenced the construction of a Cancer centre from scratch which when completed will address health needs of not just Benue but north central as a whole, manpower development as well as other infrastructure has become the order of the day at BSUTH with other health facilities receiving attention.

It is worthy of note that Benue has one of the best Printing hubs in north central which will go a long way in raking the income that would have been spent buying/printing from the east thereby increasing the revenue base of the state.
The Benue state government under Governor Alia has commenced the first Benue Underpass since the creation of the state in 1976, with another one being replicated in Gboko and other zones to ease traffic and add beauty to the state capital.
The Benue State Investment and Property Commission (BIPC) under the current dispensation has set up a polythene production Factory, constructed the Ben Fruits Company and expanded the Bread/water companies to meet the huge demands from customers.
The Emperor Fertilizer has taken off with massive sales as the company recently launched the BIPC nail production company all under the ‘Alia’s Touch’.
The transportation sector has never touched the books and crannies of the state providing affordable intra and Inter-cities services as seen in the revamped Benue Links Limited.
What the Benue people owe the Governor Alia administration is just support to drive more people oriented leadership even as there may be some turbulent times, to make the desired change and fix a long time illness deserves patience from the sick patient, but gradually- Benue is on its way to divine healing under Governor Alia.
