The body of a policeman declared missing by the Benue State Police Command has been found.
This was revealed in a statement on Monday by the spokesman of the Command, Moses Yamu.
Four policemen were declared missing on Saturday night when they were attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Azege-Ayilamo community, Logo Local Government Area of the state.
Their patrol vehicle was equally set on fire.
However, on Sunday, two of the missing policemen were said to have returned on their own.
By Monday, the police said the body of one of the remaining officers was retrieved with the eyes, ears and nose removed.
Yamu said the retrieved body was found brutally mutilated.
